is that so? EVEN funk players? on beat.. did you grow up listening to marching bands or something?

oh RIIIGHT so a 'funky' beat is just a regular beat with some shuffle.. my casio vl-tone is great, it has a 'waltz' rhythm, a 'disco' rhythm and quite a few others. when i want something 'lively' i pick a disco rhythm and when i want something 'chilled out' i might have rhumba, or waltz if i'm in an experimental mood in other words (just to state the obvious to humourless americans) the concepts of 16ths, 32nds, and 'funk' only apply in the cheesy world of midi files, elevator muzak and musical car-horns. WHAT WE ARE TALKING ABOUT HERE IS EXPERIMENTAL MUSIC which does not have any dos or donts, no mathematical guidelines to decide what is correct rhythm and what is 'sloppy'. if rdj's particular form of rhythm programming cannot compute with you, or loud 'shrieks' hurt your poor little head, it's nobody's fault but your own

i can't even begin to find words to describe the feeling of disdain i feel at the moment for the future of the human race. i weep openly at the thought of your offspring

right well in that case shut up, cos it's patently obvious that you haven't got a clue
