I can't believe evry one is so quick to associate The Prodigy and The Chems. The Prodigy may have stepped outside of IDM, but that should only make the elitists hate them (or I guess most of this group). If you ignore the "(tastes like) Rap Foo Yung" and the "Sweet & Sour (looks like) Punk" tracks, you're left with some killer beats. I guess Liam's gone to K(iller)DM. I tell what would piss me off is if I found out he was using Warez to create his music ;) As for the chems, dog at will. When it sounds like a beat has been drawn out in Piano Roll view, it probably has. They lack a sense of feel. It's like robotic funk with no volume control. Doesn't quite sound right to me. I have been playing the drums (marching, concert, and trap set) non-professionally for about 11 years and tweaking samples and knobs (also non-professionally) for the last three. This makes me aware of rhythm, feel, and technique more than anything. It lets me here sloppiness in the showing off of some Drill 'n Bass. So take this OPPINION for what it's worth and flame at will because I don't mind using the delete key and I know many services that would gladly take e-mail addresses. _ / \ /\ /__/ \ / \ \ / \AVIS \\\\ ravis1@mindspring.com http://www.mindspring.com/~ravis1/
