Has anyone heard this before, and if >so what did you think?? I love the only N.U.F. album I own, "raum auf >notizen" (I think that's what it's called off the top of my head...hey >I'm no German major :~} ). Looking forward to some "intelligent" >responses,
It's a cool record in a minimal sort of way. It's completely un-IDM but intelligent nevertheless. The recording consists of one long 74 min track of droning, echoey, industrial ambient soundscapes. Sometimes quiet, sometimes booming, sometimes reverberating. A variety of sounds overlay the background subwoofer-friendly booming: clicks, buzzes, tinkles, water, etc. I quite like this experimental approach and the results themselves. There are two other NUF rekkids...the first just called NUF, and the latest one which remixes the record you have---excellent, excellent d-n-b, trip hop, and ambient dub. Keep your eye on this guy. On now: Amberdelic Space...a great cheap comp...I think I have most of this 4CD set on vinyl, and scattered on CDs, but not in one place for 22 bucks.
