i heard this wacked out 12" last night called "electronic battle
weapon". that's all it said on it. catalog number XDUSTDJLP1 or
something very similar to that. no clues as to who it might be.
the side that really kicked had this tinny beat with a very fucked up
and mutated sample of a guy saying IT DOESN'T MATTER over and over
again put through a seemingly endless variety of effect tricks. when
the bass came in, WHAM... it was astounding. had an extremely intense
breakdown followed by a buildup of static that eventually turned into
a sort of pulsing wall of beat. it kept going and turned into this
squirty little analog synth motif. the IT DOESN'T MATTER guy popped
up again as well.
the other side was more kinda standard drum machiney techno but still
good. just not as blinding as IT DOESN'T MATTER. (that voice is
still running through my head this morning).
anybody know what/who this is?

yeah, i commented on this when the album came out. the stories read
like submissions for a pretentious college literary wannabe journal.
i majored in english at school and crappy little booklets full of that
kind of overwrought prose littered the floors at the building where i
spent most of my time. ugh.
speaking of overwrought prose, roll on the .sig...
