I thought that it was quite a good (interesting) program (especially the bit about the psychological effects of clubbing with or without drugs) - I also thought that Gary Cobain (FSOL) was a bit of a wanker. Like David Baddiel, only more so. And not funny. Not that DB is funny most of the time.

The K4 is a good synth (I've not got one, but a couple of friends have them and they can make some pretty groovy sounds with 'em). I'm not sure about the Phonic mixers though - the 16 channel version (I'm currently on the look out for a 16:2 mixer) wasn't thought of too highly with regards to build quality (something that will be important for live work) and I don't think that the sound was too hot either. Now the OSCar - this is smart! They're fairly expensive, not too reliable but they have MIDI, an on-board sequencer and arpeggiator. I love mine to bits (when it's working). The MS10 is non-MIDI, probably a darn sight more reliable, and with a completely different sound. I'd recommend playing with each before you make a decision. Ho hum. Now, anyone got a decent 16:2 mixer they want to sell me? john.. -- jat5@unix.york.ac.uk jat@ohm.york.ac.uk http://www.york.ac.uk/~jat5/ ----------------------------------------------------------------- | Flex music, York, UK. || (0904) 610745 || ContinuousEvolution | ----------------------------------------------------------------- * check out 'visions' on resource records, available early 1995 *
