No, its just a matter of moods. Some types of music make a lot more sense on the dance floor or when you want to get hyped up, and others for when you want to sit down and read, or smoke, or even do the ironing.

erm getting a bit contentious here, thank you.
quoted 8 lines and by the way, don't use the 'a' word to describe it either. :P> and by the way, don't use the 'a' word to describe it either. :P > > and as for recommendations, i'd suggest signing on to the breaks list. > i see a lot better reviews there than in any magazine that takes it from > a damned 'intelligent' viewpoint. > > just when are people going to drop this pretentious 'intelligent' crap > and just listen to the f*cking music?
I think you'll find that the people on this list spend most of their time _listening_ to music
quoted 3 lines no music is more intelligent than another form. that's like saying> no music is more intelligent than another form. that's like saying > this painting is smarter than that one! how can you label a work of > art like that?
To an extent we are just using labels to draw a vague line around all the stuff we are talking about. These terms always become incomprehensible to those outside a given scene (look at the regular club scene in the UK - "handbag", "digifunk" etc etc.) - hence the misunderstanding we have in your viewpoint of the word "jungle". We are simply using labels we understand and if you don't like that well sorry. Let's try and keep the discussion open minded shall we. J ^
