I recently picked up the original release of DreamFish and loved it. Is the new release any different? How does dreamfish 2 compare with it? are any of the other namlook releases in a similar vein? Just different cover art, as far as I know.

I can't stand it. One track apparently attempts to replicate the effects of the famous "Chinese water torture." If you must check it out, I've seen several people trying to sell used copies on the net.

I'm sure there are plenty that are just as bad as Dreamfish 2. I haven't heard any that even come close to the first one. C. -- cspot@hyperreal.com (Chris.Hilker)

The first time I heard D'fish 2 I was very impressed (for the first five minutes.) There are some very uncharacteristically murky textures (for Namlook, but particularly for Mixmaster Morris, who normally takes the trippy-airy route), and the precise, staccato sounds are also not too common for Fax. 20 minutes later, though, not much has changed, and that's this album's main problem. It would have been great as an EP or a compilation piece, but it's outrageously redundant for a full-length. Ashok
