Well, with this one coming out domestic, and not having received the
glowing reviews SAW1 did, I figured I could wait to see this one on video
(er... the used bins that is). And as luck had it, a used domestic copy
showed up here in SanFran today. Yeah, I only saved two or three
bucks, but what the hell.
I really like some of the guy's work, but it's obvious who has been
snapping up some Hafler Trio reissues in the UK.
In the middle of my first listen, I've already heard a Hafler track and
two Cliff Martinez tracks from the Sex, Lies and Videotape soundtrack
(which I recommend *very* highly - on my third copy). And though I can't
place which one it is, I swear one sounds just like a Lustmord track.
Oh well, plenty of other stuff to keep my ears busy so far, but with 1500
unreleased tracks, you'd think he could have come up with a little less
blatant copying. He's got enough to work with on his own.
jmar! nevah trustah man in a bloo trench coat.
