Perlon is an excellent label but they're hardly new. They have 15 records out dating back to 1997. The label is run by a guy named Zip who participates in some way or another (either as the main producer under a different guise/collaboration or just adds assistance) to all the Perlon releases. The style of the perlon is a punchy minimal tech- house for fans of Mosaic, Playhouse, Ware, Kompakt, Pal, newer Trelik, Phonography, Antiphon, Popular Organization, and/or Profan. The latest Perlon release, by Perlondon (aka Baby Ford + Zip + Vulva) made my best of 99 list. Also both the Dimbiman releases made my tops lists of previous years.
