Choci is one of the original members of the Tonka DJ posse out of Brighton England. While Garth, Jeno & Markie spin warm house & funk, Choci was the acid & techno DJ out of the lot. Unlike the others, he decided to stay in England. He moved to London and opened up a store called Choci's Chewns in Soho and a record label by the same name. I managed to get my paws on the first release which you may be familiar with: Acid Crumble by Solar Quest. If I'm not mistaken, "Ice Cream 4 Acid" is on clear vinyl on the Choci's Chewns label? I have no idea what the Pac-man EP is though. When did this come out and on what label? The only Pac-Man tune I recall is PacMan Fever back in the early eighties! ___ / / / / / / _ __/ (_/__/ / (__ (__ ___/

I have what could well be there second 'Chewn' (it has MF-2 on the run out groove)... Actually, looking at it now, I am not quite sure what the record is or who it's by! It says Choci's Chewns in small letters, but it also has "Recherche Records" (research records) and Multiform on it (which would mach up with MF-2) and it also has RE002 as the catalog number! Eeek! It's a Porky Prime Cut too... :) Track listing: Get Into the Music Have You Got Any Techno Muzic? Coke...Don't Do It (Live Jam) Tokyo Dream in 3D I am actually quite interested in what it is now. It's all so confusing! =) I have attributed the record to Lovejoy in the past because it says "Choci says...PUKKA..." and "...Lovejoy says 'Oh my God'" on the groove too. Don't you just love records with interesting things to read on them? :) (the best I have seen is Full On Mask Hysteria by Altern8) Anyway, if anyone can actually identify what this is, I would be greatful. tnx / / ___/ / / / __ __/ / / Altered Perception's / /| / / / /| / / / / / Gateway to Infintiy / / | / __/ / / | / / / __ __/ Opening Soon!!! / / | / / / / | / / / / _/ _/ |_/ _/ _/ _/ |_/ _/ _/ _/ jwilson1@alsvid.une.edu.au

Yup...clear vinyl, thats the one. The Pacman EP was recorded by Richard James (afx) under the name Powerpill quite a few years back now and one of the mixes was "Chocis Hi-Score Mix" so im guessing that thats him. Check out the RJ discog if you need more info. Oh, I think it was released on ffrreedom records. :flu:
