there's phonography which deals specifically with field recording. i'm sure there are other lists like that for specific types of recording, production/studio techniques, software etc...if you narrow your search you might have better results. .sander Joao Vasconcelos wrote:

Hi, you might want to take a look at the Music Research section on Intervall-audio. http://www.intervall-audio.com/links/links_music.html It's all sorts of links to sites dealing with various aspects of electronic music: history, magazines, production technique, etc. For a start I recommend these links: SOUNDONSOUND Deep into the heart of the matter, pretty good comments, some well professional. Plus extensive gear reviews. GEARSLUTZ Another forum with many entries... DIGIDO If you are somewhat familiar with gear or plug-in funtions and settings, check this site run by digital mastering luminary Bob Katz featuring some sophisticated articles. You actually have to "work" through them, yet they are more practical than technical. Enjoy! Yes! Also www.kvraudio.com has some helpful and knowledgeable people, if you don't mind ignoring the occasional flamewars. David Joao Vasconcelos wrote:

Thanks a lot for the advice. I think KVR is what i'm after right now, but the idea behind electrixa <http://www.livejournal.com/community/electrixa/>seems to be interesting. Anyway, I've only done a superficial check of these sites and lists, but those two caught my attention. Intervall Audio is a great resource too.
