Coming to SF hot off of a Saturday night headlining slot at Montreal's
MUTEK Festival, KONTROL is proud to kick off our new monthly party
with the exhilarating duo from Zurich that has minimal master Ricardo
Villalobos calling them the best live techno act in the world right
now.
Galoppierende Zuversicht (which means "Gallop Confidently" in Swiss)
is the live project of Bruchstuecke artists Styro2000 and Bang Goes,
two of Switzerland's most celebrated DJs/producers/live acts.
In an effort to achive only the most "live" conditions possible, these
two use no laptops in their in their performances, opting instead for
spontaneity, collaboration, and self-made gear, one piece of which
they jokingly refer to as their "doomsday machine".
Their jaw-dropping set at MUTEK reportedly brought the house down,
causing the crowd to go wild for nearly 10 minutes after they
finished, and their debut BASTA EP on Bruchstueke has won praise from
Matthew Dear and Miss Kittin, and earned them a spot on the upcoming
Richie Hawtin MixCD.
Don't miss this very special chance to witness them in action, joined
by Bruchstuecke label-owner DJ Fragment, in their first and only West
Coast performance.

Some quotes from MUTEK attendees:
"Absolutely fucking sick, sick sick…The highlight of the fesitval…They
blew me away."
"These guys KILLED IT at Mutek…Do not miss this show."
"Finishing the night with a techno set were the boys from Switzerland
and their North American debut. Holy Shit. Galoppierende Zuversicht
just rocked the night to a close. I didn't think Mutek could get
better than last year, but they did it with vengeance. I was left
speechless as the night came to a close."
"…''Were Gallopierende Zuversicht really from Switzerland, or would
they reveal that they were aliens? Judging by their live set (total
asskicking), I'd say they were aliens."
"This is one of those rare nights that no one with an interest in the
evolution of electronic music should miss." - Philip Sherburne
