Ogg is nicer at low bitrates/mono, which can matter (it does for me,
wearing my i'm-programme-controller-of-a-radio-station hat). Winamp
plays it fine, and you can do some very nice stuff with the jlGui
java applet and some creative webdesign.

Not quite as portable as mp3 (iTunes is the problem player, really) but
having a java applet aimed at your stream really helps out there.
