Piehead Records Newsletter for November, 2004 :::::::::::::::: NEW RELEASE ::: PIE035 : Qwerty : _The Sorrows of Young Qwerther_ Qwerty is Miro Merlak, a young Croatian artist who has previously released work on labels such as Lucky Kitchen, Phthalo and Egoboo.bits. _The Sorrows of Young Qwerther_ features 12 tracks of melodic electronica recorded between 1996 & 1999, and re-edited/re-mastered especially for this release. If you're into the sounds of classic early IDM, this is a record for you. ::: more info : http://www.pieheadrecords.com/releases/pie035.html :::::::::::::::: THE FUTURE OF PIEHEAD ::: We've decided to discontinue the monthly subscription series format for future Piehead releases. While it's been fun, it's also been a lot of work to get a record out every month, so we felt that it was time for a change of pace. Rest assured that the label will continue, we will just be concentrating on less frequent one-off releases (like the delayed Edward Ka-Spel release that is now set for early/mid-2005). As plans develop for future releases, we'll post updates to our website and mailing list. :::::::::::::::: LIVE NEWS ::: A MONTH OF SUNDAYS 2 is a four-week series of live electronic & experimental music that we've been presenting at Toronto's Tequila Lounge under our Stained Productions name on the four Sundays in November. The two remaining dates in the series feature several Piehead artists: Nov. 21st: NAW / ANDREW DUKE / Akumu Nov. 28th: JOHN CHANTLER / Beef Terminal / mn-l For full details on the series, click the link below. ::: A Month Of Sundays 2 : http://www.stainedproductions.com/events/sundays2 :::::::::::::::: PREVIOUS RELEASES ::: All of the previous releases in our 2004 limited edition series are still available: PIE034 : Robokoneko : _Shades of Genki_ PIE033 : Accelera Deck : _Hereafter_ PIE032 : ml : _Man Is The Warmest Place To Hide_ PIE031 : Metro Starman : _The Day I Discovered My Dog Was Really A Fish..._ PIE030 : Mnemosyne : _The Air Grows Small Fingers_ PIE029 : [sic] : _Gorilla Masking Tape_ PIE028 : John Chantler : _Locked In Hands_ PIE027 : Portland : _Uprox Detox_ PIE026 : Knowledge of Bugs : _My Way No Way_ PIE025 : Building Castles Out Of Matchsticks : _Window Pain_ You can also still purchase complete sets of our 2003 & 2002 series, and individual copies of most titles (although several are now sold out): 2003 artists : Temper · Books On Tape · Phasmid · Self-Service · Ugliness Man · theblameshifter · Goodnight Streetlight · Mark Spybey · Rapoon · Gridlock · Tinkertoy 2002 artists : ARC/Aidan Baker · hellothisisalex · David Kristian · I8U · Multiplex · Your Favorite Horse [a.k.a.
