Crazy stuff going on back in the D this week, what with the 90+ degree heat and the biggest blackout in history making it hard to stay cool. Of course - we'll be sure to turn the heat up and the lights low this Sunday night at our weekly tribute to the music of Detroit. As always, Motor City mavens Baby Daddy (Rob Goppold) and 12 Mile (Brian Stein) will mix it all from soulful to edgy and back again. Detroit is free, and starts at 9 every Sunday night at the Skylark, 3089 16st., San Francisco. Thanks - The Woodward Posse Above: The City of Detroit, waiting for the lights to come on. --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? The New Yahoo! Search - Faster. Easier. Bingo.

There's all this music out and no one is saying shite about it. Have we all just gotten complacent and don't really care about digging for music in the shops and talking about our finds? Andrea Parker & David Morley - Game Over 12" (Touchin Bass) CiM - Robot Valley (Ann Aimee) Disjecta - True_Love by Normal (Polyfusia) Geoff White - Nevertheless (Cytrax) Jeff Mills - Medium (Axis) Machiste - Reale La Vita Cu Remake (mixes by Isan, Herrmann & Kleine, Skanfrom & Pandem) [ThrillBeatConstruction] Martin Horntveth - Skull CDEP (Smalltown Supersound) Mikkel Metal - Rmx EP Part One (mixes by Dub Tractor, Jan Jelinek & Lowfour) [Echochord] Octagon Man - Magneton (DC Recordings) Suburban Knight - My Sol Dark Direction (Peacefrog) Sutekh - Hands On Fire (Soul Jazz) Yotoko - All Creation Remixes (Delsin) Is everyone just bored of electronic music, if so lets chat about experimental music? Or something else. Don't tell me you are all busy watching the Oil Wars Pt II on the telly? Anyone taking bets how long it will be before King George The Oily blows up another 7000+ people? Let's start talking about something... --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! SiteBuilder - Free, easy-to-use web site design software

Just busy. I can tell you some things which have been floating my boat lately though: The Posthuman/CFM 12" split on Smallfish records. Schlank & Tief Meteosound New Town (ai) Process : Spectra Villalobos : Taka Taka Dan Bell's Button Down Mind Strikes Back Lexanculpt's Blurring of Trees Pavel Kostiuk & the Musicals Monolake's Linear Atomium 12" Geoff White & Stewart Waller : Discord Jeff Bennett: Puzzling Thoughts Panoptica remixes Ruisort Acapulco Now! Cloinc (Estermann) Old Magazine CDs (Howard Devoto/Barry Adamson, etc.) Miles Tillmann 10" ....I have a pile of things I haven't played yet. Just no time really for me to let these things sink in properly, let alone post about them much. I have a few days off before school starts (next week) - maybe I'll try and blurb a few items of note before then. jeff --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
