So i'm listening to aki tsuyuko's "Ongakushitsu" album right now as i work on a paper regarding Nietzsche's view on Christianity, and i must say, it's excellent "work" music, as well as background music. The whole album contains no beats- just pure, blissful, emotionally-driven melodies- for those of you that saw the Plaid tour last year with Nobukazu Takemura and Mira Calix, Aki Tsuyuko was the chick with Takemura helping him out with visuals and music. If anyone knows of this album and can recommend some music like hers, [other than what else is on Childisc], it would be greatly appreciated! glue your eyelids together. it's all about the westside, bitches. basura. "Milano" by Nobukazu Takemura for Issey Miyake Men by Naoki Takizawa (WEA JP) "Finale" by Nobukazu Takemura for Issey Miyake Men by Naoki Takizawa (WEA JP) This is a two-part soundtrack for (presumably) an Issey Miyake runway show a few years back. They're on Warner Japan so they tend to be on the pricey side, but this is a case of the product being plenty worth the cost if you like DJ Tak's voice/cello/piano/sampler work. Exquisite gatefold packaging with CD sleeves made of what a friend and I speculated was some of the material used in the clothing from the show. "Finale" has the extra bonus of cover/gate art by Takashi Murakami. Essential chamber electronics for those who like this stuff, and I haven't found anything similar in all the years I've loved these albums. -eric --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
