Actually no, what he is saying is sorry for "cross-posting" which essentially means to post the same message on several different related mailing lists. Saying sorry actually goes a long way to acknowledge that yes, I know you'll probably see this message in five different accounts today. Plenty of people post auctions, playlists, questions, self-promo and etcetera across several lists that im on and I tell you - deleting the same message 5 times really annoys the hell out of me. When someone acknowledges that however it softens the burn.
