I read in an interview somewhere that he wanted people to re-burn to a cd only the tracks they wanted, and throw out the other ones. I thought that was interesting, that he didn't want to "curate" his music, but just present it all and let the listener decide what's best. -Liz -- http://www.modsquare.com --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Funny you should mention that. I just scanned that article in for a friend of mine last month. It was publish in the US by XLR8R. It's a good interview, (wonder who found the mp3 player? ;)). I put it on my site if anyone is interested in reading it: http://www.resynthesize.com/afx/page1.gif http://www.resynthesize.com/afx/page2.gif http://www.resynthesize.com/afx/page3.gif http://www.resynthesize.com/afx/page4.gif Brandon --- Modsquare <editor@modsquare.com> wrote:

this is a great quote: "my sets are usually a mishmash of live matrial off the laptop and djing... but no one knows i'm playing live because i never actually say it. if you say you're playing live then its more like a gig and people just go and stand and stare at you. but if you say you are DJing then everyone dances and gets into it." _____________________________________________________ you need more drum'n'bass -- http://mp3.com/vitriolix Brandon Tallent wrote:

i made two MDs out of it, order was more or less a spur of the moment decision, titles might be wrong because i'm copying this out of a notebook i wrote it down in and my handwriting's atrocious: Hard Drukqs: taking Control Vordhosbn omgyjya switch7 cock-ver 10 mt st michel mix 54 cymru beats afx 237 v7 meltphace 6 ziggomatic v17 orban eqtrax4 bbydhyonchord Soft Drukqs: jynweythek ylow strotha tynhe avril 14th nanou 2 hy a scullyas lyf a dh kesson daslef plenty harmonium ruglen holon beskhu3epnm petiatil cx htdui kladfvbung micshk prep gwarlek 3b gwely mernans gwarek 2 aussois btoum-roumada laornaderek bith father its a much better double album when divided this way IMHO. i didn't throw anything out because i wanted minidiscs as full as possible. blah. -- JA --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
