This auction is for a long out of print MIKE & RICH ? EXPERT KNOB TWIDDLERS
original 2xLP from Rephlex Records dated 1996. The record is in mint
condition. The jacket is in excellent shape and is AUTOGRAPHED by Mike
Paradinas as well. I do not believe you will find another copy in as
excellent of shape as this has been in storage for all these years. A nice
meeting of the UK techno minds. Mr. Paradinas and Mr. James feature a
playful edge here, more along the lines of Mu-Ziq's "In Pine Effect" or
James' "Donkey Rhubarb" or the more lightweight material on the "Richard D.
James? album. In general everything sounds much more like Paradinas than
James, meaning that things remain basically "cheerful," without much of that
sinister edge that always creeps into most of the Aphex man's material. Nice
loungy feel on the samples, cool earthy buzz on the synths/beats, and a
great colorful package overall. The best concept album ever? Certainly the
best artwork. (Note: picture below will not show autograph on jacket).
