And as to whether these guys are considered IDM?
I think their roots certainly began as IDM but it seems that these days they
are trying to appeal to a more mainstream audience. This is all fine and
well as far as I'm concerned because the more people listening to electronic
music the better. In order to be considered "IDM" however I think you need
to keep a bit lower profile - keep it real experimental and underground.
Maybe.
I love Plaid though past and present. Bummed I missed their show last night
here in San Francisco.... Thought it was tomorrow night !
