below) on March 30th at York City Screen basement bar...
downtempo/lofi/ambient/whatever. Also appearing (apparently spinning some
electro-tinged stuff) will be Leo Clayton (Pure Sheng)

KOROVA
The aim of Korova is to establish a large membership scheme enabling
its members cheap entry to Korova events. These will initially
comprise of the D.J, contemporary art and live electronics nights
already booked for the first Friday and last Saturday of every month
for the next four months at York's City Screen.
As time progresses this will extend to live bands including punk and
nu-metal gigs at other locations in York, allowing music lovers
greater access to different styles and ideas. In addition to this, a
large membership may also allow us the privileges of a private
members' club at other locations. The membership discount will vary
from place to place, but will always be substantially different to
the non-members' Price.
Monies raised through membership will allow us to finance more and
larger events, and the purchase of more sound equipment enabling a
far louder summer than last year. Because of this, there will be
absolutely no guest lists/free admission except for the performing/
exhibiting artists. Korova is a socially orientated entity run for
no personal gain, so there is no room for those who wish to exploit
it.
