carpark has TONS of releases planned for 2002! the greg davis
"arbor" cd/lp came out a few weeks ago and may 22nd will see the
release of three more carpark titles: marumari "the remixes", takagi
masakatsu "opus pia" dvd, and takagi masakatsu "opus pia" cd.
remixers for the marumari project include electric company
(tiegerbeat6), l'usine (isophlux), robert lippok (of to rococo rot),
cex (tigerbeat6), greg davis (carpark), colongib and octopus inc.
(kracfive), lackluster (defocus), casino vs. japan (wobblyhead),
stars as eyes (tigerbeat6), and more. the cd will also include the
ever-popular "baby m" video and a short video piece about marumari's
dog bacon with remixed audio by miami's o9.
takagi's "opus pia" project is the beginning of a lifelong endeavor.
we wanted to put the audio cd and the dvd on one disc but sadly the
technology just isn't available yet. so there are two distinct
releases. we can't wait for the first carpark dvd. please check out

also planned for summer release: ogurusu norihide "humour" cd, signer
"star club red" double lp/cd and a new full-length from casino vs.
japan! and in the works for later in 2002 is the kit clayton/safety
scissors "ping pong" cd, the first carpark compilation, and more from
takagi masakatsu, ogurusu norihide, and hopefully jake mandell.

greg davis and hrvatski are embarking on a massive six week tour of
north america on march 14th. it's the largest tour any of us have
seen since that metallica world tour back in the 90s. anyway....we
are also organizing a european tour for late may/early-to-mid june so
if you are in or near france, britain, belgium, the netherlands,
germany, austria, spain, switzerland, or italy please get in touch
with us asap! we need to have the european tour all settled before
greg and vat head off on the north american tour.

just a little bit of gossip to report this month. we heard from
various sources that takagi masakatsu has been asked to do a video
spot for NHK which is one of japan's national television networks.
we congratulate takagi on this great opportunity!
we also heard that marumari is going to give birth this summer to a
baby boy...but you can never be too sure. their science-fiction
novel has now exceeded the 200 page mark...
carpark trivia
we've decided to have some fun and throw a little trivia party. the
first person who writes back with the correct answer gets a free
carpark cd of his or her choice.
