Yes, really excellent stuff. The entire Samurai Horo roster is worth checking out. The super-slick half-step has bass music scene has been pretty exciting all around. I've been compiling some playlists - this one may be of interest: SUBSIZZLE ~ Slow-Freq Boutique - https://open.spotify.com/user/1242599423/playlist/0ybgpQTwqvqVCXWK1IBoSN Enjoy! No problem: *FIS* (highly recommend this artist) - From Patterns to Details / Duckdive (released on Samurai Horo) / The Blue Quicksand is Going Now / Speech Spirits / Preparations *Daat* - HVAC and HVAC Remixed (includes a remix by the aforementioned *ASC - Overlook* remix is also a favorite) *Clarity *- Infinite (Samurai Horo) *Homemade Weapons *- Kintaro EP(Samurai Horo again) *ENA* *Overlook* *Ruffhouse* - Straight 9s (Guess who... Yeah Samurai Horo) *Air Max '97 - *HPE EP *Pessimist* *Ivy Lab *- Peninsula EP (Check 'Eyes Down' if nothing else) *Erikiu* - YRA (another SH artist) *Maurus + Erikiu* - First Breath (CX Digital) *Shield* - My Flava EP *Ancestral Voices *- Old Earth Voodoo *DSCRD - MONAD XII *(or anything else from the *MONAD* Label/Series for that matter. Kangding Ray did a Monad EP as another example) *Sendai -* Ground and Figure / Geotope / MONAD XVIII *Flxk1* - did a few collaborative releases with *ENA / Wan.2 / DB1* that are all worth checking out. A lot of these artists here/on the Spotify playlist have their foundation within pretty standard DnB but have taken a more recent turn towards the abstract - so the newer material is often more appealing to me/and presumably this list of Intelligent Dancers. Some of these artist names tho... Guess I shouldn't judge... Hope you find something new to enjoy! JC On Mon, May 14, 2018 at 6:14 PM Rjyan Kidwell <cexwell@gmail.com> wrote:

yeah i have really been waiting (a long long time) for dnb to turn away from this arms race of faster-beats and more-twisted basslines, like a technical arms race and like, redirect all that technical knowledge into some more creative format this seems like a good start Clint Anderson Systems Engineer "Freedom -- paint me a picture!" -- Burton Cummings On Tue, May 15, 2018 at 12:01 AM, Jonathan Canupp <tenandtracer@gmail.com> wrote:

Black Vector was cool. Dig the way the background timbres slowly evolve. I walked past a laneway in Melbourne one night a year or so ago. There was a small DJ setup with laser/lighting gear on the back of a tricycle. The guy was playing stuff similar to this from memory. The space in the music seemed very appropriate for the setting. I regret not stopping to find out who was playing. On 13/05/2018 8:53 AM, Jonathan Canupp wrote:
