i haven't heard many comments on the new O'Rourke... what do people think of it? it sounds pretty rad, but you can't trust EVERY OtherMusic write-up, now can you? I guess it's his first proper laptop outing, no? and from what i hear it's rather pleasant compared to his other work... _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

I think it's wonderful. Top album of '02 so far for me :-) and I'm sure it'll be on my top of '02 list (I guess it actually came out last month, but hey...). Should appeal to fans of things like Oval, Takemura, Fennesz and early American minimalism. Very melodic in a fractured way and actually full of emotion, especially on the last track. Sure it's a "laptop" album, but the majority of the sounds are pretty much unprocessed samples of acoustic instruments. Thumbs up. :-P Andrei --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
