damn, I haven't spoken on the list for like 1.5 years, why you guys talking so much. in any case, does anyone compse externally anymore. i mean, when you get into warping synths, waveforms, oscs, etc, buu a nord. It's not that I don't think comp shit is good, but too many people are following that path. The new autechre was so repetitive, and now everyone in europes trying to be like the comp heads here in the US, rich, rob, sean, everyone, why not stick to the classics. You want to hear good 'composition' work...warp 94-98....amazing. Sounded real, almost orchestral, ambient, experimental stuff, but wasn't SOOOO synthesized. much luv, stats p.s. i'm about a composer: 9 performer: -238975........live performance isn't even worth it. I don't know how many of you actually compose on complex cpu systems or hardwired sets w/mixer/samplers/3+synths,etc, but composition of a piece is long, and the only live things that would be good are preparing samples and synth lines to throw in, any effects patterns. I'd rather be like lexaunculpt.....'let my music speak for itself'....I think if I was that good, i'd just come to, hook up my laptop, pack a dank bowl and go chill with the crowd. You're either a performer (dj's, bands, singers), or you're composers (orchestra, symphonies, idm, experimental pre-sequenced stuff).
