Anyone give a recommend for a tool to take a large WAV/MP3 file and split it into multiple ones? I'm transferring a live show via minidisc to my computer, and I'd rather not re-record individual tracks. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

WAV Trim doesn't seem to actually allow you to split a large WAV into multiple smaller WAVs, ie when the band starts a new song. This is what I want. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Are you trying to do it "on-the-fly" or post production? If you're trying to do it in post then you can use a program like Sonic Foundry's Sound Forge to create markers and then turn markers to regions and regions to wav files. If you are trying to do it live you can use a program like Total Recorder to record live and insert markers manually as the music plays. then export to wave and do the above in Sound Forge.
