Yes, do things yourself...but a formal program is going to teach you certian
standards in the industry, gear to look for instruction: Pro Tools, Neve
mixing boards, Manley and Focusrite processors, Ampex multi tracks, DA-88
and ADAT multitracks, digital metronomes, neuman mics...
