I just wanted to note that the ignorance shown by many people on this list in that women and IDM thread pretty much disproved anybody's high-flung notions that people who listen to IDM are more intelligent than the general populous. The very idea that women don't like music unless it's candy-coated for them sounds like something from the 20's- I can't believe some chinstrokin asshole ist still carrying the notion around today. I'd honestly say that as many if not more of the girls that I know who are into electronic music are into IDM- damn near every girl I know owns a copy of Music Has the Right to Children. And I'm pretty sure that those girls who don't own it wouldn't like it any better if it were, uh, "candy coated" for them. I wonder the same too. But we all stay. I have to say one thing though: props to Mike Paradinas and Cex (and any others I haven't noticed) for hanging out here. It's nice to have some of the artists that make the music we all talk about actually present. I hope all of the whiners and bandwidth abusers take note of this: *when you post something stupid, some of the artists you listen to and enjoy _are listening_*.
