I'm guessing the commercial is supposed to be more of an allusion to Detroit's automotive history than a reference to rave culture. Ford has been stressing the "futuristic" design of the focus (debatable), so it all makes sense. The majority of the population won't recognize anything by model 500. If they were just pandering to young ravers, wouldn't a song by someone like Carl Cox or Paul van Dyke be better suited? hmmmm..... cheers, Sam
