Just a quick plug for the folks at Current and
the io Coffeehouse who are putting on a smooth
event every Sunday night. Last night DJ Carlos
Souffront played an eclectic mix of house/techno
in a warm atmosphere with friendly people. Rob
Hood took the stage at 10pm and mixed a sonic
palette of jazz, hip-hop and some classic deep
techno tracks that i was pleasantly surprised to
hear.
If you're looking for a nice place in Detroit to relax
and enjoy good electronic music, the io Coffeehouse
on Sunday nights (8pm-12am) is a good start. Check
