as of this week, this list had gone to shits.
someone gets flamed for politely wondering what the fuss is all about
with boards of canada, yet in the meantime we get cluttered with
messages from clueless pen pals who barely ever post anything of
interest on the list, yet are more than willing to use this forum for
their ebay auctions & pleas for some lost tapes.
i think i was wrong after all -- idm has indeed very little to do with
intelligence.
so, does anybody _enjoy_ this?
if not, could we just, say, cut it off? so as to make the list
interesting for those who _read_ it?
someone offends you? take it off the list. chances are, unless you
have something especially interesting to reply, _no one_ is going to
care what your justification is.
as for deadhooker@chickmail.com, & any aspiring troublemaker lurking on
this list, get a clue now before it's too late, & make us all the favor
of keeping your keyboard shut until you:
1) understand what we're talking about (ask _privately_ if you have to)
2) have something other to say than the fact that you'd probably jump
off a roof if it was the only way to get those fucking boards of canada
demo tapes.
christ, the way things go, i'm sure you can expect a reissue within the
next 10 years. why don't you just do what people have done for years &
_wait_. maturity, you know? if no one answered you by now, then no one
on the list has them -- it's no good hitting the nail if it won't get in
anyhow. _no one cares_.
