Hey! That's me...and to answer my own question, vocals are featured heavily on the LP, prolly more than half the tracks. Unfortunately I was pretty disappointed in this one - beyond the lush packaging on the ltd. version, there wasn't much here for me. The only track that perked my ears was "Melodius Thunk" and that's off an earlier 12" on MoWax of the same title anyway. This one didn't do it for me. Better to look for these, I know they're old but still: - Andrea Parker "Melodius Thunk" 12" (MoWax) - Andrea Parker & David Morley "Angular Art" 12" (OpArt?) - Andrea Parker "Unconnected" 12" (Studio K7 DJ Kicks 12") These are the best things she's done IHMO, electro meets things that go bump in the night. Spooky clunk and rattle sounds. Good stuff.

I do, however, very highly recommend his collaboration project with John Ridenour called Spool. As far as I know, they have only one album, but it is incredible. It was recommended to me at a local record shop by an employee who put it in his top 3 favorite albums along with Boards of Canada/Music Has... and Global Comm./7614 which are also two of my all time favorites.

I can't go quite as far as you did in praising this one, but it *is* a good disc. I think I mentioned it a while back, dunno. The first track is especially hypnotic, reminiscent of GCC. The rest of the disc is nice as well, and for some reason the last few tracks reminded me of Tortoise. Aside from all that, he's an incredibly nice guy as well. I'd also recommend these two: - jhno "kwno" CD (gamelan d'n'b on one of the tracks) - jhno "Fly" 12" (Steve Miller Band sample meets Sqrpusher breaks w/o sounding cheesy, believe it or not...) Enjoy...Brock ____________________________________ Brock Phillips - bphil@email.unc.edu WXYC 89.3 FM The New Science Experience Tune in every Sunday night 10 PM-12 AM US EST http://www.wxyc.org for live RA broadcast Promos, demos, etc. welcome for submission Email for postal address and details...

Sorry, just being pedantic, but this is on Infonet, the old Creation dance label. Number 22 if I am not mistaken, also available as a CD single.
