Aetehraplst re that Jetta CD:
quoted 1 line the 4-minute mix is better =) the rhythms slowly build up and >do more>the 4-minute mix is better =) the rhythms slowly build up and >do more
than the 1 minute commercial allowed, and the >melodies shift and.. well.. i hate to be blaah but it's just really >good. it does *more*, it's not just a straightforward 1 minute >"here ya go, a little variation, oops now it's done", it's like an >actual song (track?). Wierd. I was sent one of these too. Disappointing, imo...it's different than the commercial; a lot more upbeat, which kind of ruins the effect it had in the ad. And the synthesized "juuuunnngg at heeeaaarrrrrtt" vocals just put it over the edge. Mr. DuCharme must have remixed his tune with the intent of making it appeal to the LCD of people VW's going to be mass-mailing this out to, since the feel of the original 30 second spot is pretty much missing. I can *easily* see this being fodder for the local adult contemp station. The fact that you have to sift through a ton of promotional junk to find the darn CD doesn't help either...I now have 4 big posters of a Jetta, a Golf, a Passat, and a Cabrio to recycle. Dif'rent strokes, la la -c- "I am a cipher. Wrapped in an enigma. Smothered in seceret sauce."

yeah, & i hear 'lp5' should really be pronounced 'elch-ptheecjh-fkeeiv' with a slight venusian accent. -- david
