I was listening to NPR tonight and on one of their interludes they were playing some kind of string quartet piece that sounded very familiar. I later realized that the melody was the same as one one of the tracks off of Kraftwerk's 'The Mix' - "The Robots" I believe. Anyone know what this was? GD

wasn't this the brodsky quartet? or was it bang on a can? a related disc is terre thaemlitz _die roboter rubato_. solo piano versions of kraftwerk tracks, done rubato (without a predetermined tempo). very interesting...good. * #### a disturbance in a system. #### laerm. @voicenet.com ##:# i dreamt about you last night/i fell out of bed twice icq:5562209 you can pin and mount me like a butterfly

Balenascu Quartet (I probably spelt that wrong, but it's something like that). Released an album on Mute about 5 years back with string quartet versions of several Kraftwerk tunes along with another couple of covers (one of Talking Heads, I think) and a couple of originals. Quite good stuff - I should dig it out and listen it it again, it's been a while. Greg
