Andr? Estermann
Simstim ep
Tracklisting:
Simstim. Kit. Vector. Falcone. Journey. Mentha Arvenis.
Note: For fans of Andr? previous ep on Musik Aus Strom, Funkst?rung, and
perhaps
Jega's first ep on Skam.
"Simstim"
Starts out with a style almost like what Michael Fakesch does
rhythmically
where the beats are chpped up in various places. The melody is quite
chipper
and exhibits a happy quality thoughtout the track.
"Kit"
The melodies are the driving force which sets the tone for the whole
track.
Much like the previous track.
"Vector"
This is a much more gritier track that pulls out all the stops
with Sci Fi washes thats come in and out and a violen-like
melody on top.
"Falcone"
A short track. Starts with some odd noices flowing in and out changing
ever
so slowly. A pause... then more of a grtty rhythm along with happy
melodic strings and then powers down.
"Journey"
This reminds me of the Jega's first ep in terms of melody.
Simple rhythm consisting of bass and snare. Its a pleasant track.
If you like the" Naem" track from the "Type Zero" ep by Jega, you
might like this as well... or, those ambient washes Global
Communication
is so good at. It really makes you sit down and listen.
"Mentha Arvenis"
The last outing is a darker rendition of what Andr? can do.
Stretched out melodic strings upon bell-like rings with a light
hiphop-ish
beat.
