So here's a little BSP. L'usine asked me to spin some Atom Heart next week at Cal Arts. If that's not enough to get you interested, you should go just to hear an up n comming artist- L'usine. I recently recieved his CD and it fits fine with ANY Skam release Some trax have a good blend of melody and hard hitting crunchy beats we've all come to expect from bands influenced by Ae. However, L'usine is not a "wanna-be" Ae artist like so many IDM records that came out last year. This is some fresh new IDM and I'm willing to bet you'll be hearing a lot more from him. SO CAL certainly has a good little IDM scene and it's continuing to grow, grow, grow. So if you're in the southland, just come to the gig. 1. It's free 2. It's got free beer 3. When have you ever heard ATOM HEART played on a LOUD system in LA? never. Plus, the party is named after an Atom Heart release. 4. There's plenty of other IDM that will make you smile:) Esp L'usine. 5. I have no idea what the other DJ's/artists sound like, but hey they would welcome your attendance I'm sure. thank you hope to see some of you there:) g ps: if you have any more specific ?'s, email: jmciln@shoko.calarts.edu. pps: Cal Arts is in Santa Clarita a few exits after the 405 and 5 meets. There's signs on the fwy for it.
