a couple of sample-spotting questions/observations:
1. i've noticed "funky tiste" from mouse on mars' _glam_ has a distinct
texture throughout (and particularly pronounced toward the middle) that
sounds like what i'd imagine a european soccer crowd all chanting in
unison to sound like (based on my experience in the states with county
fair racetracks and baseball games). anybody hear this? i wonder what the
story is behind that sound? it's used really nicely, like a little
counterpoint to the main melody.
2. bola's "amnion" sounds like it contains a sample sourced from somewhere
within the lengthy _Jet Chamber_, by atom heart and pete namlook (fax
'96ish). i think it arrives as a minor texture toward the beginning, but
it's most audible in the closing 30 seconds or so, an echoey springy
sequence of three distinct sounds repeated until the track is over. i'm
wondering if mr. fitton is a fan of this album? it's a favorite of mine...
