the chuck horn show in detroit is a pretty poor example as to what is going on in the realm of electronic music. He seems to lack an interest in getting music other than what is serviced to him. The starseeds album " parralel universe " originally released on nova zembla I believe over a year ago finally got issued domestically( the import was around 25 dollars) chuck horn often says " this is a new release simply because he just got it in the mail. Many people who have done radio shows know that you get very little " Good " music as promos, and depend on their own collections or local stores to make up for the material, where as chuck horn is concerned this is not the case. I wish he was on this list so he could get an idea of some of the music he and his listening audience is mising out on. The infiniti album was released a few months back on tresor( but has been issued domestically; which is the reason you heard it, promo ) It's a great collection of music form juan atkins. The theorem th3 has been released for a while along with th1 and th2 both great atmospheric techno, from dale lawrence, there should be a cd compilation released after the fourth vinyl ( th4 ) that contains tracks form all the releases on M_nus. Sven Vath has a pretty solid track record for putting out some good music either the barbarella album, or under his own name, usually hard trance material similar to hardfloor and earth nation. the blue room released material is middle of the road trance that really doesn't grab you but is still listenable, but lack any staying power in my collection. hope this helps, Bryan On Mon, 11 Jan 1999, `Pietro wrote:

Greetings all - I'm so stoked that I actually recognized something flowing across the list (aside from the big names). V/A "More Signs of Life" on Blue Room/U.K. - 1. Sri Pravana -"Rules of Hypothalamus" - 4:22 2. Deviant Electronics - "Suspense Hypothesis" - 8:08 3. Subtonal - "Drone" - 3:59 4. Cosmos Diplomatic - "Science Lab" - 4:42 5. Silicon Attic - "The Gas" - 5:56 6. X-Dream - "Piece" - 6:31 7. Dub Mix Convention - "That an' This" - 6:46 8. Anasthesia - "Dirty Hiss (Orb Remix)" - 7:47 9. Toires - "Lelital" - 6:09 10. Spiritfeel - "Hipslow (Gregg Hunter Remix)" - 6:27 11. Banyan - "Total Eclipse" - 7:45 Track #8 remixed by the Orb, track #10 mixed by Greg Hunter. I really dug a bunch of the tracks, especially "The Gas" by Silicon Attic. As far as I can tell, the comp was the first release by Blue Room Americas, in partnership wih the UK's Blue Room Released label. So far I dig everything that's come from the label, including Alien and Montauk P. I'm sure there's more out there to be had, or at least on the way... Anyway, you can find a full review of this release as well as Alien "The Pleasure of Leisure" at: http://www.sdriver.com/spot Art `Pietro wrote:

With all the talk about Lexaunculpt on here, I'm anxious to actually hear something. Is the best 12" of the year available mailorder? Bentcrayon didn't list it and Modernmusic doesn't seem to be working right.. it loads the first page but there are no links off of it. So, like, where can I buy it?
