get/diss? here's a review from the up comming issue of e.x.p. (issue B) Mogwai : Kicking A Dead Pig : Jetset Third Eye Foundation, µ-ziq, Max Tundra, Surgeon, My Bloody Valentine, Alec Empire, Klute, Kid Loco and others have it their way on the progressive artsy fartsy shoe-gazery sounds of Ireland’s Mogwai and their latest album, "Young Team". Distorted, dreamy, epic guitars meet rapid fire breaks and or synthesized sounds + effects in varying degrees (some remixes leaning towards more guitar, others with heavier electronics), creating a product that is, all and all, pretty cool. The progressive mix of techno and guitar is interesting, listenible, eclectic and, without a doubt, worth owning (if you’re into this kind of thing). On the downside though, people whom are already familiar with Mogwai’s "Young Team" might be a little disappointed. Unfortunately, somewhere between the original and the remix the shear power, emotion, and soul that the album was great for gets diluted by the clean, cutting, synthesized sounds that compliment it.. Note: This two cd set includes the remix album and a four track remix single of the epic Mogwai Fear Satan. 7/10 -LtDS hope this helps Luke
