While perusing the bargain bin at the local shack, i found an old Luke Slater album "my yellow wise rug". I don't remember hearing about it on this list too much, has anyone heard this? 11 tracks, made in England, put out by GPR. also, i ran across a bjork album with at least 5 Black Dog remixes. I'ts a compliation of the remixes from "debut". Anyone heard this, reccomend it? thanks Phil

Yes, it originally came out in 93. It's an album of smooth atmospheric detroit-flavored techno by Luke Slater. Kinda like a less-abstract Beaumont Hannant. In my opinion all 7th Plain releases are well worth having especially the ones in the bargin bin. : ) -->-Lance--- p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states

94, if it matters. Wasn't this discussed a week or so ago? What wasn't mentioned is that he recorded a Peel session that year as 7th Plain. adam

Here's the relevant info: Bjoerk 41.53 The Best Mixes from the Album Debut... One Little Indian (UK) 152TP 7CD 12.06 Human Behavior (Underworld Mix) 5.10 One Day (Endorphin Mix) 5.05 Come to Me (Black Dog Mix) 4.55 Come to Me (Sabres of Paradise Mix) 4.50 The Anchor Song (Black Dog Mix) 9.47 One Day (Springs Eternal Mix) Worth getting for Ken's excellent "Anchor Song" mix alone, IMO. Both of the "One Day" mixes are by the Sabres, fyi. C. -- Chris.Hilker (cspot@hyperreal.org)

by GPR. Definitely worth picking up. I like this one more than the 4 cornered room or his latest album, freek funk. This is really in idm vein, although I come really compare it to anything except maybe beaumont hannant's earlier stuff.
