There is indeed more material out by Torsten Pröfrock (aka Various Artists, Resilent, Erosion). In addition to the Various Artists 12" (CR 02), there are two more 12"s on Chain Reaction called Resilent (CR 12) and Erosion (CR 16) released in 96 & 97. Then in late 97 there was a Various Artists cd released which contains tracks from all three of his Chain Reaction 12"s. Here are the details: . Various Artists: 1-7 12" (Chain Reaction/CR 02) . Resilent: s/t 12" (Chain Reaction/CR 12) . Erosion: s/t 12" (Chain Reaction/CR 16) . Various Artists: Decay Product cd (Chain Reaction/CRD 03) Also coming soon from Fat Cat is another Various Artists cd called "8.8.5.9 Remixes." This cd will compile the two Fat Cat 12"s plus new mixes from Autechre, Arovane, and Monolake. Needless to say I'm eagerly anticipating this release! -->-Lance--- lance@inaudible.com p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

So on this CD there will be two remixes from each of Ae and Monolake, one new and one old? i'm getting far too addicted to this sound and am wondering if the tracks on the 1-7 12" on chain reaction that aren't on decay product are worth getting? i'm guessing yes, decay product is definitely one of my favourite cds, its one of those one that you can sleep to but would also love to hear it super loud. i was also going to ask about that mimic and the model 12" and another called timeblind - bloatware or something lame but i've just been to the archives and found all that i was after. whoever made that site rules, thanks heaps. dave ---- --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Everyone who got into the 8, 8.5, 9 series should definitely check out the Chain Reaction 1-7 release. Thorsten Profrock is one of the best producers in the CR camp (and that's saying a lot). 1-7 has an even more reduced minimal aspect to the sound, possibly the most reduced sound in the whole series. 1-7 remixes would be interesting?
