Nice Gescom track - fits in well with the recent Gescom on Skam. The Foehn tracks just sounded boring although they need another listen. Does everyones sleeve have the punctured two holes through it or is it just the ones in Ambient Soho? Listened to the Gescom again last night and wasn't that much more impressed than the first time. Nice rhythm but the melody is rather tedious. Willing to give it a few more goes, though. Mine has the holes too and it's not from A. Soho. The insert looks like the kind of thing which would have really impressed me when I was 17 but seems so worthless now. Obviously I haven't actually read it... AND: I discovered this morning that two of my Chain Reaction CDs have massive cracks, extending halfway onto the playing area. Still seem to play alright. And I thought I'd treated them with extra care after the warning a few months ago. adam

It's best to listen to the Foehn stuff completely independently from anything else. As nightmarish ambience it works well. Stick it on loud in a pitch black room and let it fuck with your head.

apparently, and i could be wrong, they're bullet holes. The v/vm / 3ef 12" had one hole, i assume the gescom/ad vanz/fohen has two, kind of a different way of numbering the 12"s. cheers,

totally. i am only 18, but this insert is the type of thing that I thought was so meaningful just recently. maybe its just a bad pamphlet, though. because i am not that jaded yet. shane
