i was thinking that there are so many different people on the list that make
tunes and that share there music via mp3 over the net that it would be fun /
interesting to start a little series of cd-r comps made from mp3...
basically, i was thinking that i could either download / or artist could upload a
128kBit, 44100 Hz, stereo mp3... after i collected enough tracks, I'd decode the
mp3s to wav, burn enough cd-rs to send out to everyone who contributed and
send them out... could include either a contact sheet with artist info or even
*.txt or *.nfo files as cd-xtra bits (hell, could include 100kb of data track for
each artist for each comp and it probably wouldn't hurt the amount of time
avaialable for tracks)
anyhow, seemed like an interesting idea for sharing tunes amongst ourselves...

also, anyone who might review for a zine that happens to cover noise / dark
ambient / noise material, please drop me a line, as I'm looking for a few
*appropriate* places to send out some of the noise comp cd-r we just finished
up....
