Ugh. I need some help here. I went down to a local IDM-oriented shop and asked if they had a cd by Tosca called "Opera", because I wanted to pick it up for a friend. The guy at the counter hands me a cd by Giaccomo Puccini called "Tosca Highlights"... which indeed is an opera. Now, i've seen the name `Tosca' mentioned here on this list before but had never paid attention. Could smeone please give me the scoop as to what I'm looking for? A label would be nice? What genre/style of music is it? Etc. I'm almost positive he gave me the wrong disc but I just want to make sure before I bring it back. Thanks. ;) acsot. .`-). | ; christopher miller o o' evil@digital.net = ' on: "15 Levels Of Magnification" by Neotropic

Yes, you certainly got the wrong thing. What you're looking for is a project featuring one of the guys from Kruder & Dorfmeister along with another pal of thier's. It's some great, lazy, downtempo trip-hop type stuff, originally released last year on K&D's G-Stoned label, but just reissued (or about to be very soon) on the American wing of Studio K7. If you like it, I also highly recommend Fuck Dub, a disc which collects a bunch of Tosca remixes from a bunch of folks that were originally released on a series of 12"s. Also on G-Stoned. Greg
