Hi,

Ask the guy who recently (within a month) ran an auction for his mate through this list, as to how many people actually honoured their ridiculous bids!? Not that i really know but i bet it wasn't many. I suspect people get caught up in the heat of the moment and then bid ridiculous amounts of money and then realise they can do without it and would be better keeping the money. Mark S-Walker could probably testify to this with his failed auctioning of the ultimate rarity.. only 2 in existance, so the claims goes. People will pay what they want to pay, but i think the fact that the medium (a mailing-list) is faceless allows too much abuse of the auctioning system... from both the auctioneer and bidder(s). Just my 2 cents worth... Bringing it back to a more musical territory: Emotive songs for me are: Plaid's "Rakimou" Sun Electric's "Sarotti" Slam's "Beneath" FSOL's "Everyone In The World Is Doing Something Without Me" Carl Craig's "Neurotic Behaviour" Carl Craig's "Goodbye World" Carl Craig's "Red Lights" Too name but a few that float to the top of my head. Regards, John

Definitely the shit this one also check out Suspiria, from the same More Songs about Food and Revolutionary Art Album, really introspective stuff and I would recommend them to anyone who thinks Carl Craig's stuff ends with Paper Clip People. My sad tape also includes:- Madonna - Bad Girl The Smiths - How soon is now? The bit immediately following Twinkle Twinkle Little Star on the KLF's Space Album Fallout - The Morning After Ennio Moriconne - Once Upon A Time In America But honestly folks its spring for gods sake! Lets have some tracks that make you smile, smirk, chuckle even. Steve.N p.s. And I'm not interested in hearing that you think the Spice Girls are so bad you can't decide whether to laugh or cry. I'm just not.
