For those of you with *fast* connections, you should try HotLine which is a client for up- and downloading files on other servers running Hotline Server. Download the client from http://www.hotline-sw.com/ The Windows client is currently in beta but it can resume downloads (it really works). Well, you were looking for MP3's? Using the "tracker" (lists available hosts) on pc.hltracker.com you will find the "IDM MP3 Server", which has several full albums from Squarepusher, Aphex Twin, Luke Vibert, Jega, mu-ziq, Plaid, various compilations, SKAM, FAX, ... the whole lot!! The only bad thing is you have to upload a full album to get download privileges (you get an account), so modem users like myself are in a way excluded :( - i am not thinking on uploading 50MB at 28.8! I got the chance to download a few files though before the server shut off guest download. Thought some of you would be interested

Is there another way to reach that IDM Server? (telnet/ftp/http) I tried to use the Hotline Client, but it could not even get the list of servers from pc.hltracker.com.

Oops, wrong link. It was http://www.hotlinesw.com/ Well the pc.hltracker.com is used internally by Hotline. The tracker server just tracks servers currently connected, and provides you with a list of them. But instead you can hook-up directly to the server, if you know the address. At the time of writing it's 207.62.158.51, but since the server is using a cable modem (dynamic IP) it could change. I think there is about a 100 albums and EP's there now. It's time for me to speak up and clarify a few things. My site is on a permanent T1 and the IP of 207.62.158.51 never changes. BTW, there's well over 150 albums and EPs on there. -Teo Hrói_Kristjan_Sigurdsson <lunarlaugh@get2net.dk> wrote:

I stopped by the site and from what I gathered, you upload an album, then the admin mails you a login and password so you can download. You must upload a full album to have downloading capabilities. ______________________________________________________________________________ . . ..a n a g r a m a t c a t s d o t u c s c d o t e d u.. . . . . ..h y p e r t e x t t r a s f e r p r o t o c o l.. . . ..u s e r s d o t c w n e t d o t c o m s l a s h a n a g r a m..
