What with all the talk as of late about Vadim and Jazz Fudge, you
might be interested to know that he's featured in the most recent DJ
Magazine (U.K.), the issue for Jan 31-Feb 13. I don't normally go for this
mag - wayyy too housey for my tastes, but this issue is good. It's all
about the evolution of the breakbeat, from the old school to the new. Top
20 most pillaged breaks of all time, scratching and turntablism, quotes
from the hip-hop pioneers. Vadim has an interview, and the free CD that
comes with the mag has a 30-min mix of all Jazz Fudge/Ninja/K'boro stuff
by the man himself. A good introduction to minimal independent hip-hop for
those intrigued by the recent thread...
