Sorry for my digression from normal IDM fare, but this seemed like a good place to turn. Anyone know of a reliable method to straighten out moderately warped vinyl? I've heard that you can put a 12" between two panes of glass in the oven with weight on the top for a few minutes, but that seems incredibly dodgy. Any ideas on this one?

Only if the record is otherwise unplayable! Otherwise, live with it. Slight warps will correct themselves in storage, to a point, over time, if you keep your records padded vertically -- not just "up and down". --Mark

I've actually tried the oven-bake method and was pleasantly surprised at how well it worked. LOW HEAT is a must, and don't cook 'em for too long. _____________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail.
