Now somebody drop some science on my head -- -- I was nozin' aroun' (sorry, been on a 'young ones' tip lately) on some CD shop webpage & found a listing for "Transambient Communications: Praze-An-Beeble CD, $21.99." Now, the only other place that I've seen something about "praze-an-beeble" is the Aphex Ventolin single --- you know what I mean. Is this a fairly common britism? Slangish slurred speaking of "brazen people" or something like that? What's the scoop? I can't imagine there's a real AFX connection to the Transambient record -- or is there? In the final analysis, is the Transambient record any good, or is it goa trance? Stumped, sr -- sd

Hello? Anyone at home? Since when did Goa Trance=Bad....? If I want a great night out at a club i *will* go to a Goa Trance club, it's the most exciting and sound-filled music you can dance to/hear in a club...i went to a pure techno club a few weeks back (The Complex, London) and was utterly appalled, i was *so* used to Goa Trance that the techno being played just sounded *really* sparse and bare... basically just a 4 to the floor bassdrum going bang bang bang bang with not much else going on. At least you've got weird sounds and lots of samples and *extremely* mad 303's in Goa Trance....yeah ok, all the mystical/spiritual stuff is bollocks really but the music is fast, frantic and really banging. Try System 7 sometime. -- Ben Coffer Hybrid Productions http://www.hybridgame.demon.co.uk/

I agree with this 100 percent. I got used to that same techno 4 down bass feeling and began getting kind of bored with it. Then I journeyed to this rave where there were playing some mad ass goa. . wow, some intense stuff. . fast, wierd 303 sounds, fucked up bass. . there was soo much energy that I didnt stop dancing that whole night. . And also, System 7 is great, one of my fav goa/trance artists. I first heard them on the Hypnotic Trancespotting disk (which is overall pretty weak other than a few tracks) and again on Sci-Fi Cafe (also on Hynotic). I have since gone out and bought a few of their disks and have not been disappointed yet. :Tin:
