hmmm... I noticed in a store yesterday that the Drum'n'Bass label Liftin' Spirits is using Skam's "S" logo modified to be "LS". But it's still the Skam "S" seen most notably on the covers of both Jega 12"s. and that's it. christian

Case in point... the BASF logo which Uwe Schmidt's rather interesting designers (who are they btw?) gracefully hacked into "BASS". Isn't the skam "s" the same as some cheezey sneaker co.s? Teep np: bdp - spanners

Or NASA->VSVN, or the picture of the hot dog on _Fonosandwich_ or the bird on _Semiacoustic Nature_ or... Credits on Atom Heart/Rather Interesting releases often say "Design sampling by..." Designer's Republic, too. E.g. the tribesman from (what was it now?) _Every Man Got Dreaming_ by Sandoz (R.H.Kirk) I think. As with most things, collage in the visual arts began decades before it was used in music. --Mark __ <http://www.xnet.com/~mkolmar/BurningRome> < MPEG & RA audio clips > m u s i c : w e b : s o u n d d e s i g n : h t m l : c g i : e t c

and then subsequently, some east coast badtraderdude turned listadmin poseur additionally misappropriated said logo from "silver sounds" to "sewer sounds" for his own personal elekro manifest destinies..... ;-> 3rd generation hack, i'm sure kevin bacon is involved somehow. p.s. this never would have clicked for me, but i work with guys from BASF quite a bit, and i was giving 2 of them a ride from berlin to schwarzheide and i happend to have the silver sound CD (recently purchased from delerium) and the rorschach technologies C90 on the front seat of my opel and they both simultaneously said: "looks like a Bahzzzz-eff logo, yah?", to which i replied "jinz, y'owe me a coke", and they both looked quite puzzled. evolution happens, why should good clean design be exempt?
